Time and Talent Opportunities
This is a (far from exhaustive) list of ways in which members and friends of Trinity are invited to serve one another and our community. We hope that all who join our community find ways to use all of their resources, and root themselves in fellowship and worship with one another. Please contact the Church Office with any questions you might have about these ministries.
Worship Committee: Meet every 2-3 months to assist Pastor in developing worship programs.
Altar Guild: Prepares Communion for worship. Works with a team assigned to one a month service.
Projection and Sound Techs: Work with Pastor and Music Director to run the projection and sound at either or both services. Requires training.
Coffee Hosts: Set up coffee and snacks for fellowship before Worship and cleans up after.
9:30 Worship Service
Scripture Reader/Prayers: Reads the Biblical lessons of the week and weekly prayers. Usually serves once a month.
Communion Server: Assists Pastor with serving communion. Serves for a month at a time.
Greeters: Welcome people as the arrive for Worship. Usually serves once a month.
Ushers: Hand out bulletins and assist people as they find their seats as needed. Guide people to communion. Part of a team serving a month at a time.
TWELCA-Trinity Women of the ELCA: Women’s bible study once a month, service day of quilting once a month, fundraising and organizing other events at the church.
Trinity Men’s Ministry: Monthly breakfast at El Jalapeño, *NEW* monthly bible study, fundraising and organizing other events.
Bucket Brigade: Monthly meeting for seniors (no ID needed ). Lunch, with games or speakers.
Prayer, Praise, and Potluck: Monthly gathering to enjoy time together and join in potluck, song and prayer.
Trinity Small Groups: Groups of 6-8 meet monthly for a meal, play games, or simply be together.
Church Council: (Elected Position) Help make the official decisions of the church with monthly council meetings, special meetings and working with committees.
Endowment Board: (Elected Position) Make decisions around disbursements and benevolence (especially Scholarships) given from our endowment. Monthly board meetings and special meetings as called.
Property Committee: Work with others around property maintenance to oversee and care for the physical campus of the church.
Personnel Committee: Work with a team in the hiring of staff and human resources decisions. Monthly meetings as needed.
RCOM- Redevelopment, Community Outreach and Ministry: Organize fundraising opportunities, including Dinner Night Out, specifically for funds for re-development opportunities.
Dream Team: Be a part of the team that is dreaming about where God might be calling us. Invitation by the Pastor.
Outreach and Caring for Others
Valley Restart Meals: Provide monthly meals for the residents of Valley Restart, a long-term housing program. Be a part of a team that prepares, serves, and provide financial assistance with the program. New teams forming soon!
TLC Club: Monthly social program for developmentally delayed adults. Needs vary between providing food, assisting with programs, or occasionally providing rides.
Helping Hands: Organizes reception for funerals. Serve on a team for a month at a time, as needed.
Homebound and Hospital Visitation: Care for our members in need by visiting them, bringing them communion, and being present. Training from Pastor available.
Lazarus Circle: A grief support group meets once a month. Come and share stories and support in difficult times.
